It’s time to upgrade your end-point PCR

Switch to AllTaq Master Mix and PCR Core Kits

PCR technologies are evolving, and we do not want our customers to miss out. Therefore, we have developed successor versions of the HotStarTaq Plus and Fast Cycling PCR product lines. We recommend that you refrain from using these older kits for new assay development or other future projects, and instead, switch early to the successor product line – the thoroughly validated AllTaq PCR kits.

Advantages of our new kits over the older kits

  • Monitor your PCR setup with a visual pipetting control and gel tracking dyes
  • Save time with a 45-minute protocol – same for all targets, including GC-rich and long targets up to 9 kb
  • Perform duplex PCR and include internal controls – thanks to the AllTaq’s versatile chemistry
  • Automate your PCR with AllTaq’s outstanding room-temperature stability
  • Enhance PCR performance with a 4x concentrated master mix and guard-protected, hot-start chemistry

Superior specificity

With the AllTaq kits, you can reliably detect as low as a single target molecule. Using a guard-protected, hot-start mechanism, the DNA polymerase is kept in an inactive state by the antibody and guard molecule until the initial heat activation step. This prevents non-specific amplification and primer-dimer formation.

Everyday PCR simplified

Using AllTaq, young researchers at the University of Nottingham are not just simplifying everyday PCR, but gaining better results faster. Watch the video to learn about their research and how simplified PCR is helping their work.

How does the performance of the successor kit compare to my current kit?

All successor kits perform at least equivalent, offer improved handling and enable you to get results faster than the older versions.

We encourage you to visit the AllTaq Master Mix and PCR Core Kits product page to learn about these improved features or download the protocols. You will find performance and comparison data (versus the older kit and other commonly used PCR kits) under the ‘Product Details’ tab, particularly the ‘Performance’ paragraph and ‘Supporting data and figures’ section. You can also download the respective product profiles from the ‘Resources >> Brochures & Guides’ section.

How can I request a trial kit of the successor kit?

Once on the product page, go to the ‘Product Details’ section and click on the ‘request trial kit’ link. This will automatically create a request form and submit your request. Please note that rules and legal requirements for providing trial kits might differ according to country.

How do I ensure the optimal performance of the successor kit?

As a general rule, please follow the protocol of the successor kit. It has been optimized for the newly developed kit composition and provides various benefits like increased speed, yield and specificity. Make sure you follow the recommended protocol to maximize these benefits. Refrain from copy-pasting protocols from other or older kits.
