About us

Our products

Understanding DNA, RNA and proteins – the molecular building blocks of life – is changing the way our world diagnoses and treats diseases, protects public safety, and advances science. Our broad product portfolio encompasses consumable kits, instruments, and bioinformatics that allow our customers to unlock insights from these molecules and address molecular testing challenges from Sample to Insight technologies:

Key product areas

QIAGEN’s technologies provide versatile solutions for many research and diagnostic applications. Here you can find details of some of our most innovative solutions. You can explore the full selection in our Applications and Insights menu at the top of the page.

Dr. Johanna Andersson-Assarsson is the research coordinator for one of the longest ongoing studies on obesity which has spanned more than thirty years. She believes that her research using dPCR technology to identify the influence of a particular gene’s copy number variation could help in the development of new therapies for one of the world’s most complex chronic diseases. Read the full story here.
Digital PCR* (dPCR)

This innovative method is a highly precise approach to analytically sensitive and reproducible nucleic acid detection and quantification. Making digital PCR both scalable and practical, while reducing the time to scientific insight by integrating the qPCR workflow into a superior all-in-one walkaway solution, are the core drivers behind the development of the QIAcuity digital PCR platform.

* The QIAcuity dPCR platform is for research applications only.

COVID-19 testing

QIAGEN is building a comprehensive portfolio of molecular COVID-19 tests. These address the needs of researchers studying the virus, and public health practitioners working to keep the disease in check. Our portfolio includes tests that detect active viral infection as well as antibody tests to survey previous viral exposure.

Dr. Eskild Petersen describes why testing latent TB with the QuantiFERON TB test is part of the key to eliminating the world’s deadliest infectious disease in Oman. Read the full story here.
Tuberculosis (TB) testing

Each year, 10 million people fall ill with tuberculosis, and TB claims more than 1 million lives. TB is the world’s leading infectious disease killer – yet TB is preventable and curable.  At the first-ever UN High-Level Meeting on TB, world leaders committed to reaching 30 million new people with preventive TB testing and treatment by 2022. QIAGEN's QuantiFERON-TB Gold Plus is the world’s leading TB blood test, providing reliable, single-visit screening for TB infection. QuantiFERON-TB Gold Plus is recommended by the WHO and US CDC and is a cornerstone test in the global fight to end the TB epidemic.

Sample preparation

Preparing samples is the first essential step of any molecular analysis, one that is key in the world of diagnostics and fundamental research. QIAGEN has a proven track record in manual and automated sample preparation solutions for research and diagnostic applications from blood, tissue, and other materials.

NeuMoDx

The NeuMoDx system is an ultra-fast PCR automation solution for molecular diagnostic applications. It delivers fast turnaround times, scalability, and a streamlined workflow to address the need for accurate and timely clinical laboratory results that are essential in making critical decisions in patient care.

QIAstat-Dx

Multiplex syndromic testing rapidly surveys a large number of pathogens from a single patient sample at the same time. The QIAstat-Dx system is an easy-to-use platform equipped with panels addressing various syndromes, including a respiratory test capable of differentiating the SARS-CoV-2 virus from 21+ other respiratory pathogens. The system can deliver a result in around an hour, making its quick turnaround time a key feature in providing timely and reliable diagnoses when it counts.
